This
great new pair of binoculars with digital camera nicely fits
my plans for hiking, canoeing, birding and camping. Wait,
I’m taking my expensive new binoculars along in a canoe,
slogging through muddy places for birding and hiking up
rocky slopes? The case that comes along with something like
this isn’t made for what I’ll be doing. But an affordable
SE120 Seahorse Case really is designed for all harsh
environments. Strong, rugged, lightweight, and reasonably
priced means no worries for my valuable new equipment.
With no dividers inside the SE120 Seahorse Case and special
open-cell and closed-cell foam, there’s no shocks or bumps
getting through to the gear. Strong super-light
polypropylene construction is crush proof and will not chip,
fade, crack or dent. If it does happen to ever go overboard
it is watertight down to a depth of 30 feet and will also
safely stay afloat. The unique lid with its tongue and
groove fit and neoprene O-ring seals so perfectly that it’s
even dustproof. Another feature is the Automatic Purge Valve
with a GORE-TEX® film that equalizes the air pressure inside
but won’t allow damaging moisture to enter.
Stainless steel pins are used in the latch and hinges to
keep these from ever rusting or binding up for years of
trouble-free service. The latches are of a patented double
throw design, delivering the strength of a C-clamp with an
extra effect of a pry bar but they still open up with ease.
The high-density construction of the shell on the SE120
Seahorse Case is able to be scratched but is generally
scratch-resistant and stain-resistant. It’s also chemical
resistant and corrosion resistant but easily washable for
getting any dirt, dust or mud off. The helpful holes molded
into the case accept any padlock of your choice for added
security when needed.
The SE120 Seahorse Case stands up against the continuous
severe punishment of riding with common carriers so well
that it exceeds the durability ranking of the Air
Transportation Association (ATA) Spec 300 Category 1. It
comes in 5 fade-proof colors, Black, Camo-Brown, Gun Metal
Gray, OSHA Safety Yellow and International Orange. In its
class this is the smallest case available, measuring in at
8.70"L x 7.50"W x 3.90"D outside, while inside the
measurements are 7.30"L x 5.00"W x 3.23"D. Surely this case
will easily take care of the needs of any pair of
binoculars.
